The Level 4 Award in the External Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (RQF) is a qualification intended for those who maintain the quality of assessment from outside an organisation or assessment centre, usually on behalf of an awarding organisation. This course is perfect for you if you are already working as an EV/EQA for an awarding organisation, and wish to strengthen your profile by achieving this prestigious award. The purpose of this external verification qualification is to confirm competence and expertise of professionals who maintain and improve the quality of assessment from outside an organisation or assessment centre, essentially when working for the awarding organisations. Completing this course would also improve your profile to be able to apply for the role of EQA/EV for any awarding organisation. The course will teach you how to effectively plan and carry out external verification visits and reviews. The Level 4 Award in the External Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice course is accredited by UK OFQUAL, and is delivered 100% online with tutor support.
This L4 course is designed to be completed online at the pace that suits you the best. We provide a fast-track completion option for this course. It can take as little as 2 weeks or up to 4 months, depending on your previous experience and dedication to the course. The qualification is delivered through our virtual learning environment (VLE). You will receive dedicated tutor support once you are enrolled on our online VLE to assist you in reaching your goals.
The units within this EQA qualification are internally assessed by our qualified assessors and externally verified by the awarding organisation. The assessment takes the form of written assignments and demonstration of practical external quality assurance reviews on behalf of the awarding organisations. Please note that Unit 2 of this course can only be completed if you are able to carry out EV visits on behalf of the awarding organisation, and your awarding organisation is happy to support you in this regard.

I have worked in education for 34 years, in various guises. I managed a busy nursery for 12 years before branching out into Assessment and Quality Assurance, more than 20 years ago. My practice has developed alongside the ever-evolving training and apprenticeship sector, and I have worked in many different settings, including colleges, private training agencies and a foster care agency. I also work part time as a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant for a local charity that supports higher level education for young people with Special Educational and/or behavioural needs and as a tutor for a bespoke programme for one-to-one support. I really enjoy supporting learners of varying abilities and experience to achieve their best and to become qualified in their chosen field.
