Definitions

‘We’ and ‘Us’ mean Britannia Education Group (BEG) and all its substitutes. BEG and all its substitutes provide a range of accredited courses, CPD and training courses to a worldwide audience.

‘You’ means the learner receiving our services or the user browsing our website to find a suitable product, depending on the situation.

‘Course’ means any of our service that lies under our accredited course, CPD or a training event.

Fee Payments

Course fees (as per the chosen plan) must be paid before the start date. We accept debit/credit card and Bank transfer payments. We also offer instalment plans for all our courses, which must be agreed upon at the time of starting the course.

Please Note: Once you have registered for the course and made the first payment, you will have entered into a legally binding contract; your entire course fee and registration fee will be due in all cases. Non-payment of these fees, including not following your instalment plan, will result in a breach of contract on your part, for which BEG and all its substitutes reserve the right to pursue legal means for the recovery of debt.

In case of any default, further fees may be added via a debt recovery agency. BEG and all its substitutes reserve the right to block access to its services while the outstanding amounts are overdue, including any charges applicable in case of default.

BTC Monthly Instalment plan: (Terms and Conditions)

  • Direct Debit payment method is preferable for instalment plan.
  • The first instalment will be paid upon enrolment for the course.
  • Each instalment will be payable monthly on a fixed date of each subsequent month.
  • Our instalment plan is inclusive of the awarding body registration fee.
  • Certificate will be issued only after the whole course fee is paid.
  • For late payments, you will be charged £10/reminder email to cover the administrative costs.

Payment Plan

If we have agreed on a payment plan with you, you must strictly follow it without exception. Late or non-payment will result in a breach of contract, for which BEG and all its substitutes reserve the right to pursue legal means. Charges and interest might also be added. Access to our services might be blocked while the outstanding amounts are still due.

Enrolment Conditions

You are required to submit all the documents to satisfy the requirements for English language proficiency and entry criteria; this information is displayed on our course pages.

Once enrolled on an accredited course, you will be allowed access to the first unit, which is broken down into individual learning outcomes and small activities for the learners’ ease. Once you have completed the unit, you will be able to unlock the assignment for that unit and submit it whenever you are ready. Once the assignment has been submitted, you will be allowed access to the next unit. This cycle will continue till you have passed all the units.

If you stop the course for longer than 60 days without prior agreement and payment of this charge, BEG’s all substitutes reserve the right to terminate your admission and still pursue you for the outstanding debt. This is because we have fixed overhead costs and cannot allow unnecessary delays after charging such a low tuition fee compared to most competitors.

Discount Codes

BEG’s all substitutes give promotional and discount codes for various reasons on different occasions. These coupon codes are eligible for a limited time period and have set expiry dates. Only one discount code can be applied at a time. It is not possible to use multiple codes at the checkout.

Courier/Postage Charges

All qualification fee includes courier/postage charges for certificate dispatch service within UK only. Suppose a certificate is sent but returns to BEG’s relevant substitute for any reason, including but not limited to, incorrect address provided by the learner. In that case, you will be charged an extra delivery fee.

Cancellation of Course and Fee Refunds

You are allowed to cancel the course and registration up to the point that the course has been made available to your learner dashboard. Once the course has been made available to your dashboard, it is not possible to cancel the registration. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you go through the course content very carefully and let us know if you have any questions prior to starting the course with us. You will be eligible for a refund if a request is made within 14 calendar days from the date on which the contract of purchase is concluded, and you haven’t accessed the course or Moodle [our Virtual Learning Platform (VLE)].

Refunds for Customers Purchasing through Reed

Under this policy, customers who have made their purchase via Reed, may cancel their course within a period of 14 calendar days from the date on which the contract of purchase is concluded. This is called a “Cancellation Period”. Note that if you redeem your voucher during the cancellation period, you expressly requested us to begin providing the course materials. You acknowledge that you lose your right to cancel the course’s purchase and get any refund for it.

Assignment Submission Deadlines

Please note that assignment submission for each unit is mandatory to proceed to the next unit. Good news for our learners is that none of our courses has any deadlines to meet since all the courses are self-paced.

All assignments are submitted via Moodle – our Virtual Learning Platform (VLE). You will be provided with appropriate training on how to use Moodle and submit assignments via our BEG Moodle Guide for Students.

Assignment Moderation

Please Note: All assignments marked by a tutor will be sent for internal Verification before the results are released to the learners. It means that you may be asked to improve some elements of your assignment to meet the awarding organisation’s expectations. If any improvements are required, you will be adequately guided and given appropriate time to improve. The great news is that there is no limit to how many times you can resubmit your work, as far as you are making reasonable progress and are showing willingness to improve your work.

Plagiarism policy

BEG and all its substitutes have a stringent policy for plagiarism. Plagiarism amounts to academic misconduct, which would result in BEG and all its substitutes terminating your admission. If that happens, no school fee shall be returned. You are, therefore, strongly advised to pay attention to the relevant instructions at the time of induction. When you enrol, you will be provided with the appropriate policies to make sure that you know how to submit your work.

Transferring your Course

BEG and all its substitutes is unable to transfer your course from one category to another. In an exceptional case where we believe that the transfer is inevitable, we will not be able to make any refunds, and you will have to pay both the tuition fee and the awarding body fee for the new course again.

Course Accreditation

All our courses are accredited by awarding organisations approved by The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual), the UK’s regulatory body. If there is a change in the awarding body partnership, BEG and all its substitutes will always aim to ensure that the new governing body is of the same or higher standard.

Keeping your records up to date

You must notify BEG’s relevant substitute if any of your details have changed after you registered for the course. This includes any changes to your name, contact number, email address and correspondence address.

Certification

Britannia Training Centre Ltd is part of Britannia Education Group (BEG) which has different approved centres involved in the delivery of different accredited courses. Your final certificate might show a centre name that is not Britannia Training Centre Ltd, for example, Britannia School of Leadership and Management Ltd. This does not affect the quality of the education, the OfQual approval of the courses and your other statutory rights. To claim replacement/duplicate certificates, the learner has to pay an additional fee of £50.

In essence, you will be expected to respect your rights, the institute’s rights and others who use the VLE.

Learner Behaviour

BEG and all its substitutes will not accept any unethical and inappropriate behaviour directed at any staff members or fellow learners under any circumstances. This includes threats via telephone, in writing, emails, and inappropriate language. BEG and all its substitutes reserves the right to expel the learner from the course, with no entitlement to refund payment, and the remaining instalment will still be mandatory.
