The Level 3 Award in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (RQF) is a UK OFQUAL accredited 100% online, competency-based Teaching Assistant (TA) qualification. It is suitable for all support staff roles in the school. The course aims to demonstrate an individual’s ability to deal with children and young people’s development, safeguarding their welfare, communication and professional relationships when working in primary, secondary or special schools. This course is an initial training for all those currently working or who wish to undertake a job as a teaching assistant. You are not required to have any prior qualification or experience to start this course.
This Level 3 Award is for those who wish to become a teaching assistant or those working in primary, secondary or special schools as Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants, SEN Teaching Assistants, or Early Years Setting, etc.
This Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is designed to be completed online at the pace that suits you the best. This Level 3 course can take as little as 1 week or up to 4 months for you to become a qualified teaching assistant. You have a great opportunity of fast-track completion earlier at the pace and time of your choice. The OFQUAL Regulated Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools Level 3 qualification is delivered through our virtual learning environment. Our online tutor support is there to facilitate you to achieve your success rate accordingly.
All units within this OFQUAL Regulated Level 3 qualification are internally assessed by our qualified assessors and externally verified by the awarding organisation. The assessment takes the form of written assignments, detailed guidance for which will be provided by the tutor. I have worked in education for 34 years, in various guises. I managed a busy nursery for 12 years before branching out into Assessment and Quality Assurance, more than 20 years ago. My practice has developed alongside the ever-evolving training and apprenticeship sector, and I have worked in many different settings, including colleges, private training agencies and a foster care agency. I also work part time as a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant for a local charity that supports higher level education for young people with Special Educational and/or behavioural needs and as a tutor for a bespoke programme for one-to-one support. I really enjoy supporting learners of varying abilities and experience to achieve their best and to become qualified in their chosen field.
