The Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) is a UK OFQUAL accredited 100% online qualification that aims to develop learner’s knowledge, understanding and skills of first aid at work. In achieving this Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF), all learners will cover essentials of First Aid, including roles and responsibilities, incident assessment and managing and administering First Aid to casualties in a variety of situations. You are not required to have any prior qualification or experience to start this course, just an appetite for learning.
This qualification will prepare you to understand and perform first aid at your workplace regardless of where you work. The qualification would equip you with the skills to perform safe, prompt and effective first aid on the people around you in an emergency. Potential learners can be from any field or sector, regardless of their expertise.
This Level 3 course is designed to be completed online at the pace that suits you the best. Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work qualification can take as little as 1 day or up to 4 months. This level 3 qualification is delivered through our virtual learning environment (VLE). Our online tutor support is there to facilitate you to achieve your success rate accordingly.
All units within this qualification are internally assessed by our qualified assessors and externally verified by the awarding organisation. The assessment takes the form of written assignments and demonstration of first aid skills through video recording, detailed guidance for which will be provided by the tutor.

The most likely courses for you would be the 1 day Emergency First Aid at Work course (ideal for low risk environments such as offices), or the 3 day First Aid at Work course which is more suited to high risk environments (such as where there are higher numbers of staff, the staff are older & therefore more likely to have serious health problems at work), or where the nature of the work is such that injuries are more likely.

I have worked in education for 34 years, in various guises. I managed a busy nursery for 12 years before branching out into Assessment and Quality Assurance, more than 20 years ago. My practice has developed alongside the ever-evolving training and apprenticeship sector, and I have worked in many different settings, including colleges, private training agencies and a foster care agency. I also work part time as a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant for a local charity that supports higher level education for young people with Special Educational and/or behavioural needs and as a tutor for a bespoke programme for one-to-one support. I really enjoy supporting learners of varying abilities and experience to achieve their best and to become qualified in their chosen field.
